LONDON: Altaf Hussain, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder declined to cooperate with the officials of Scotland Yard’s counter-terrorism Command Unit and said that he won’t answer any question asked during the interrogation.

Local media reported that interrogation of the MQM founder started at 10 pm on Tuesday night and continued for two hours at the Southwark Police Station.

As per the details, Altaf only answered questions about his name and residential address. Afterward acting on his legal counsel’s advice, he refused to answer any other question.

It was also revealed according to the media reports that around midnight Altaf complained of chest pain bringing the interrogation to a halt.

It is expected that Hussain may be charged for the offense later today, sources added.

The founder of MQM was arrested on Tuesday when Scotland Yard raided his London residence. Hussain was taken into custody over a 2016 “anti-Pakistan” speech.
