Pakistan Navy capable of facing security challenges, says naval chief

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi said on Tuesday Pakistan Navy is capable and ready to face any maritime security challenges being faced by the country.

Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi while addressing participants of a course at National Defense University (NDU) in Islamabad said that Pakistan Navy is a strong force and can’t be dominated by the enemy in a war situation.

He highlighted in detail the vision of Navy to upgrade according to the top marine forces of the world.

The naval chief said, “We as a nation need to exploit the maritime resources associated with CPEC and Gwadar Port. Pakistan is endowed with rich water resources that can help strengthen the national economy.”

He advised the participants to seek guidance from Islam and the Ideology of Pakistan.
