Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chief Imran Khan announced on Sunday that his party would hold protest sit-ins against “the corrupt government” in Islamabad from dawn to dusk in Ramadan, as he criticised leading political parties in the country of being in bed with each other.
On his way to Faisalabad from Lahore for a rally, Imran said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari were both travellers on the same boat, later saying both politicians were “brothers” and their public arguments were a ruse to fool the people, a private TV channel reported.
The cricketer-turned-politician said he had always played with a neutral umpire while Sharif always bought the umpire. He said if the government rigged the elections there would be blood on streets.
If ever any elections are on the cards in near future, I am sure Mr. Imran Khan will bag more than "One Seat". Right now it looks like as if he is working on the dotted lines of the establishment. Mostly (according to a leading anchor person) he will be surrounded by "Mummy/Daddy Types" who can not bear the heat in this Holy Month of Ramadan.
