CCPO orders police to stay vigilant in Ramadan

Lahore Police ought to utilize all its resources and capabilities to ensure law and order during Ramazan, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir said in an order on Sunday. The CCPO directed all divisional SPs and SHOs to ensure special patrolling of their respective areas half an hour before Maghrib and Morning prayers.
Tahir directed all divisional SPs and SHOs to visit Mosques and Imam Bargahs in their respective areas to ensure foolproof security arrangements and not to depute any security guard without proper verification. He banned the use of loud-speakers except during Travhee prayers, Khutba, Azan and prayers. He said car parking should be kept 100 meter away from religious locations and security guards or police constables must be deputed to ensure cars are checked. He directed all divisional SPs and SHOs to check all hotels, Sunday and Ramazan Bazaars during the month.
