LAHORE: A woman was allegedly burnt alive by her husband and in-laws in tehsil Shakargarh of Narowal on Friday.
Brother of the deceased woman Misbah said that his sister had differences with her husband Naveed and father-in-law Bashir over domestic disputes.
The key accused Naveed along with his father and a sister set his wife on fire leaving her critically injured. She was rushed to hospital but expired.
However, the culprits rejected the allegations and said that Misbah’s clothes caught fire while preparing iftari and she was hospitalized but could not survive.
The police after registering a case into the incident have started an investigation.
