Sindh Police chief has said violent incidents at Katti Pahari area of Karachi were not ethnic based and the land mafia was involved in violence.
Talking to media after Police Darbar in Sukkur I.G. Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani said that a terrorist was arrested in Karachi with an Israel-made gun.
In a week 17 target killers have been arrested in the city, he said.
“Every murder in Karachi is not a targeted killing,” provincial police chief further said.
“We want to clean the city from arms and taking steps in this respect,” Durrani said.
Durrani added that 10,000 new recruits had been inducted to the police force and an Rs 4,000 increase in salaries of police personnel would be implemented soon.
