LAHORE: After Prime Minister Imran Khan referred to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari as “sahiba” a day earlier, Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed on Thursday referred to PM’s Special Assistant for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan as “sahab”.

While addressing a presser, Rasheed said that he does not want Information Ministry while adding that although he answers on behalf of the premier sometimes, “[still] it is the duty of Firdous sahab to run the [information] ministry”.

When a journalist pointed out that he referred to Firdous as “sahab” instead of “sahiba” and asked whether it was also a slip of the tongue, Rasheed replied that he “did not say any such thing”.

“Anyway a verbal spat has been going on in the country over the issue. Firdous is a strong woman and will not really be affected by my statement,” he said.

While commenting upon the presser by the PPP chief, Rashid said that “Bilawal is just eccentric these days”.
