ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday approved pre-arrest bail of Abu Bakar Zardari, a legal adviser of former president Asif Ali Zardari.

The high court ordered the lawyer to submit Rs0.5 million surety bond and a personal guarantee.

The counsel of Abu Bakar Zardari earlier told the bench that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned his client on Tuesday and there are apprehensions of his arrest.

The NAB has charged him of importing 11 armoured vehicles and paying duties of the vehicles from fake accounts, the counsel further said.

The lawyer pleaded to the court to halt the NAB of his arrest during his appearance before the bureau.

The court granted bail before the arrest and issued notices to chairman and deputy director NAB.

The bench adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period.

Moreover, Sukkur sessions court granted five days’ transit remand of Nadeem Bhutto to NAB.

A NAB team on Sunday conducted raid at Bhutto’s Naudero House and apprehended its caretaker Nadeem Bhutto in fake accounts case.

Sources claimed that Nadeem Bhutto was a close aide of Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and was working as his front man.

The NAB sources also claimed that heavy amounts from Omni Group Of Companies and other unknown accounts deposited in Nadeem Bhutto’s account.
