At least four people, including a leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), were killed by unidentified armed men in Khuzdar district on Friday.
According to a Levies Force official, BNP leader Mir Juma Khan Raisani and his guards were on way to home after offering Friday prayers when unidentified gunmen on a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire on their vehicle. Raisani and his guards Mohammad Ishaq, Mohammad Zarif and Mohammad Bakhsh died on the spot. The of law enforcement officials rushed to the site and launched a search operation for arresting the suspects.
Meanwhile, BNP president Dr Jhanzaib Jamaldini, General Secretary Jhanzaib Baloch and Secretary Information Agha Hassan Baloch condemned the killing and announced a five-day mourning and protest across the province.
