PMD predicts more monsoon rains

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday predicted 4th spell of monsoon rains in the country from Friday night that may produce scattered rains with thundershowers in various parts of the country including Islamabad, a PMD official said, adding that weather was expected to remain hot and humid in most parts of the country, however isolated rain/thundershower might occur in Kashmir and Northeast Punjab during the next few days. “The fresh spell of monsoon rains will continue for three to four days (Monday or Tuesday),” he said. More monsoon currents are likely to penetrate in upper parts of the country and lower Sindh from Saturday. Scattered rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir from Saturday to Monday. He said rain/dust-thundershower with isolated heavy falls was also expected at scattered places in Sindh on Sunday and Monday.
