Minister announces Rs5bn relief package for LoC locals

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur has said that a five billion rupees relief package is being included in the forthcoming Public Sector Development Programme of the federal budget for the security and rehabilitation of the population living along the Line of Control in Azad Kashmir.

He was talking to workers of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf at the residence of former AJK Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood in Mirpur.

The Minister said that AJK is also being given preference in the gigantic project of construction of five million houses for the shelterless in the country.

He said the federal government is also allocating two billion rupees as special package to improve health and education facilities for the people across Azad Kashmir.
