The United Nations Development Programme Goodwill Ambassador for early recovery of flood affectees and Pakistan’s top tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi reached Karachi for a UNDP assignment. During his stay there he will visit flood affected areas of Thatta Makli Town and village Mazdoor in Tehsil Jati to highlight the rehabilitation efforts of UNDP and to raise awareness about the needs and requirements of the people affected by last year’s devastating floods.
“There is still a lot to be done for the flood affectees and the cause needs a lot of support from general public in and outside Pakistan,” said Aisam. “The issue requires maximum highlight and coverage of this mission for support,” he added.
