ISLAMABAD: Turkey deported 47 Pakistanis who were residing illegally in the country, and they reached Islamabad via Sharjah through a special aircraft on Monday.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) transferred 31 deportees to the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell while the rest of them were allowed to go to their homes.
In January, Turkey deported seven Pakistanis for illegally trying to enter the country. They were sent back on flight TK-710 and the FIA received them at the Islamabad International Airport. Out of the seven men, FIA cleared five and arrested two, namely Gujranwala’s Munawar Hussain and Asad Abbas.
Last year, the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell arrested eight passengers who were deported by Turkey.
