FAISALABAD: A seven-year-old boy mistakenly killed his mother by shooting her with a pistol here on Monday, police said.
Husband of the deceased hailing from Jhang Bazaar area of Faisalabad told police that his seven-year-old son Azaan caught hold of a loaded pistol from the room considering it to be a toy, pointed it at his mother Hina Fatima, 26, and pushed the trigger.
The bullet hit the woman in chest leaving her critically injured. She expired while being shifted to hospital.
The police recorded the statement of the husband of the killed woman and after registering a case into the incident have started the investigation from all aspects.
