Hina to visit India next week

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar will visit India next week to discuss ways to make the peace process between the two countries more result-oriented.
According to Foreign Office Ms. Khar would be visiting India at the invitation of External Affairs Minister of India Shri S.M. Krishna for the Foreign Minister level talks on July 27, in New Delhi.
Ms. Khar, who has recently been elevated to the post of a federal minister would lead the talks that would be preceded by a meeting of the Foreign Secretaries of Pakistan and India on July 26.At a recent meeting with the Indian High Commissioner Sharat Sabharwal, Ms. Khar expressed satisfaction at the resumption of the talks and urged to make the dialogue process “uninterrupted and uninterruptable”, to help build trust between two countries.

  1. It is heartening to see a young and new generation of Pakistani foreign minister taking part in the dialogue with India. She is hopefully going to take new approach and fresh perspective to deal with her counterpart. We must realise that Kashmiri people especially in the Indian held area are more inclined towards independence than merging with Pakistan. Pakistan has survived many setbacks on the battlefield and on economic front and still has survived. LOC has been there for 63 years. We have to concentrate on the rights of Kashmiri people and making LOC virtually a non-existent and safe line.
