LAHORE: Former first daughter Maryam Nawaz, lamented that it had been five days since she did not have any access to her ailing father and that she still awaits permission to meet him in Kot Lakhpat jail. Furthermore, she claims that Nawaz’s personal physician has also been disallowed to visit him.
Maryam took to Twitter saying, “I am still waiting for the permission to meet MNS. He is unwell & its been 5 days that I have no access to him. Not even his personal physician has been allowed to see him. A humble reminder: Force of retribution never sleeps.”

In another tweet, Maryam said there was no other way to inquire about her father’s well-being:
“I am extremely worried because he had said that if God forbid, something happened, he would not tell anyone,” she said, adding that she had no knowledge of her Nawaz’s condition. Maryam further requested the masses to remember her father in prayers.

Nawaz Shairf, thrice the prime minister of Pakistan, has been in jail since December 2018 following his conviction in a corruption reference in line with the Supreme Court’s July 2017 verdict.
