Medicine shortage hits govt hospitals in Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab government’s health service department has landed in an unprecedented supply crisis.

According to details, the state-run hospitals in Punjab have been suffering from an acute shortage of medicine supply.

A letter has been issued to the concerned authorities regarding the supply crisis as a result, measures have been taken in order to improve the efficiency of supply. CO’s have also been given orders to buy medicines on their own until the shortage.

As per the provision, made by the government, CO’s were directed to buy medicines from the chemists outside to provide medicines at cheaper rates.
