On the advice of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, President Asif Ali Zaradri appointed Anees Marghoob acting auditor general of Pakistan (AGP) on Tuesday. Margoob is a BPS-22 government officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service. He has been appointed in place of Tanveer Ali Agha, whose four-year term ended on Tuesday (July 19).
A source told Pakistan Today that the reason for appointing an acting AGP was that the government was considering Federal Board of Revenue Chairman Salman Siddique for the position. “As a serving government officer cannot be appointed on a constitutional post, Salman would be made AGP upon his retirement after a few months,” the source said.

  1. With all these scams going on, Salman Sadique would be the best choice, doing the government's bidding as he has been doing for decades. After all being involved in Punjab Bank Scam, Missing Containers Scam, etc is a merit as far as this regime is concerned. This is just like putting a cat to keep a watch over milk.

  2. Salman siddique a man from Faialabad is a seasoned beaut crate will defenately deliver the best he has
