LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that future generations deserve a peaceful and prosperous South Asia, not a war-torn region

While meeting with his party-workers in Kot Lakhpat Jail, he expressed pleasure over Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) timely response to Indian jets.

He said, “I am very pleased with how our forces repelled Indian aggression, we know how to defend our country.”

“We never wanted any sort of war with anyone but, in case of any aggression, Pakistani forces will retaliate with full force,” he added.

“In case of any Indian aggression, we will stand with Pakistan and its government,” he further said.

The former premier said, “We made Pakistan’s defence even stronger by making an atomic bomb and JF-17 thunder.”

The former premier said that Pakistan is a strong country of brave people and armed forces who have a firm belief in God Almighty which is why any attack on the motherland will end up in regret for the enemy. Nawaz said that he would fight to the last drop of blood for Pakistan and was always ready to serve the country in any and every capacity.

He said that the future generations deserve a peaceful and prosperous South Asia, not a war-torn region. He stressed that it is wiser to sit down on the negotiation table before blood is spilt in war hysteria, rather than repent impulsive decision later and then resort to dialogue.
