Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Anwar Masood Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan’s desire for peace should not be misconstrued as its weakness.

Speaking to a local news outlet, he said that Pakistan on Tuesday could have shot down the Indian aircraft which violated Pakistani airspace but chose to demonstrate restraint.

He also said that he had shared the actual truth behind the Pulwama attack with representatives of the European Union and had highlighted how India had been trying to spread lies about the recent attack in the occupied territory which killed over 40 Indian paramilitary personnel. He also highlighted Prime Minister Imran Khan’s offer of investigating the incident if New Delhi shared any “actionable intelligence” with Islamabad because Pakistan wanted to resolve all issues with India through dialogue.

He rejected India’s claim about Pakistan having a hand in the Pulwama attack, saying that the incident took place deep inside the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
