KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) along with police on Thursday, arrested an oil factory owner from Karachi’s Malir area, for making substandard oil.
According to police sources, police and SFA teams raided the area on a tip-off and arrested the factory owner. Police said the oil was prepared along the banks of the Malir River after crushing the bones and burning the offal of animals.
They claimed that this was one of the biggest factories producing substandard oil in the metropolis.
They seized a large quantity of oil, offal and other animal waste from the spot. Police registered a case against the alleged scammer and started further investigation.
