The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday allowed Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to increase 24 paisa per unit in power tariffs under monthly fuel adjustment for the month of May.
It should be mentioned here that KESC requested NEPRA for an increase of 25 paisa per unit; however, NEPRA rejected this application and allowed KESC to hike tariffs by 24 paisa per unit, instead.
According to NEPRA, KESC sold electricity to the tune of 1.449 billion units during May.
