ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday testified a witness, Investigation Officer Muhammad Khalid, in a case pertaining to the attack on Islamabad District Court (IDC) in which many lawyers, citizens and a senior judge Rafaqat Hussain were killed in 2014.
The ATC judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi resumed the hearing whereas the prosecution produced the witness Khalid who reportedly produced the record of the case.
The ATC during the previous hearing had also summoned two prosecution witnesses Commissioner Captain (r) Shoaib and Magistrate Kamran Cheema.
The prosecution told the court that due to some administrative engagements at their offices, the witnesses were unable to reach the court on the day and urged for an adjournment for next date which the court accepted and granted the same.
The court had already recorded the statements of 13 witnesses in the case.
The security guard Babar of the judge Rafaqat Hussain had already been released who had confessed that the judge was accidentally killed by the fire of his 9mm pistol during the terrorist attack.
Five accused have been indicted in the case.
The court was adjourned till February 28.
