–Chief Minister Buzdar releases funds worth over Rs640 million for beautification of Taunsa Sharif

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday lauded the unshaken commitment of Kashmiris for the right to self-determination.

“The brave people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) have rekindled the freedom movement with their blood and the entire Pakistani nation stands with them,” he said in his message on Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The chief minister said that people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir were fighting a war of survival, adding, “They have written a new history with their blood to achieve the goal of self-determination. There is no other example to match the brave struggle of Kashmiris.”

He said that India could never deprive Kashmiris of their right of freedom with state-sponsored terrorism and Indian atrocities in the occupied valley was a blatant violation of human rights.

“The Indian government cannot suppress the freedom passion of Kashmiris through bullets and the blood of innocent Kashmiri martyrs scarifying their precious lives for freedom will not be wasted,” he added.

“Pakistan has always raised its voice against Indian brutalities and the solution of Kashmir dispute in the light of United Nations (UN) resolutions is imperative for durable peace in the region.” India, Buzdar said, would have to solve the Kashmir issue one day.

He further said that Kashmiris were not alone in their struggle and the Pakistani nation stood by them. “We strongly condemn the inhuman attitude meted out to the people of IOK by India,” the chief minister said.

“The Pakistani nation reiterates its diplomatic, political and moral support for the people of occupied Kashmir,” the chief minister concluded.
