An image, reportedly of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Human Resources chief Kamran Anjum holding a sub-machine gun as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the national carrier delivered a speech, went viral on social media on Friday.
The image was reportedly taken when the PIA’s new CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik was addressing employees of the airline.

Earlier this month, in a newspaper advertisement, the national airline said that it is looking for “a highly experienced, dynamic and passionate professional” to be hired as a full-time CEO on a three-year contract. In the job requirements section of the advert, the educational requirements were listed as anyone with a Master’s degree “from a well-reputed institute and recognised by the HEC, related to Science, Engineering, War Course, Shipping, Naval, Aviation or Military operations and related disciplines.”
