Inquiry ordered against Karachi cops for sharing TikTok videos

Karachi police on Monday initiated an inquiry against personnel for making and uploading ‘illegal’ TikTok videos on various social networking platforms.

According to reports, videos featuring several young Karachi cops surfaced on social media in which they can be seen having their share of joy by recording videos on TikTok, a media app for creating and sharing short videos.

The videos went viral across social media; however, the funny bits also came under the notice of police authorities who immediately ordered an inquiry into the matter.

Well-dressed policemen can be seen doing stunts in these videos while using the police mobile as a prop.

Notification of inquiry against cops who shared TikTok videos

SSP Nouman Ahmed Siddiqui has been nominated as the inquiry officer to probe “police personnel who uploaded their illegal videos on social media through apps TikTok,” said a notification released by the Office of Additional Inspector General of Police.

The inquiry officer has been asked to complete the probe within three days and recommend “legal/departmental action” against those responsible.
