Bhutto-Khuhro dispute claims another life in Larkana

LARKANA: 34-year-old man Mashooque Narejo was gunned down by his rivals in the limits of Ketty Mumtaz police station allegedly over an old dispute between Bhutto and Khuhro communities in village Burira near Larkana.

On hearing the news, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Rural Health Centre, Naundero, for medico-legal formalities. After postmortem, the body was handed over to heirs.

Moosa Narejo, a brother of the deceased, told newsmen that his brother had gone to operate tube-well to irrigate lands at night time where armed men shot him dead on the spot.

The dispute is going on since last six years over ownership of 3,200-acre lands between Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto and Asad Khuhro in which 17 people have so far been killed, nine belonged to Khuhro community and eight to Bhutto’s side. No case could be registered till filing this report. However, the police have started further investigation into the murder.
