- Light at the end of the tunnel
Warped roads, devastated buildings, ceaseless firing, unbearable smell of the gunpowder, wailing men and women, valleys resonating with the thuds of shells and bearings, martyrs are the deceased while the ones fortunate enough to see the other day are yelling to God for mercy, the air filled with deadly silence, woeful tears on the corps of the flowers that were yet to blossom; such is the Kashmniri battle zone. This is not an ordinary war for assumption of power. This is certainly not an ordinary place for the celebration of the unlimited moments of joy life offers to all of us. This is not the holy land of Arabia engulfed by the zones of liberalism. This is Indian Occupied Kashmir — a land, for the decades, being fed by innocent blood of countless Kashmiri martyrs. This is the drowning Sri Nagar, Baramulla and Badgram whose grievous residents are the receivers of the most brutal and cruel treatment by the Indian soldiers, the heart-wrenching tale of which will be narrated by historians for centuries.
It will certainly be quite paradoxical for the historians to note that when the venerable keepers of the Holy Lands were busy unveiling their women in the name of liberalism, the helpless Kashmiri women were becoming the subjects of the most vicious acts of violence. Moreover, when the esteemed leaders of the Muslim world were commemorating their inter faith harmonious achievements at the inauguration of a temple under the shades of Burj Khalifa, the destitute Kashmiri were losing their vision by the Indian pellet guns. When the veterans of the Saudi Military Alliance were busy in giving fool proof protection to the luxurious festive in the royal courts, the Kashmiri mothers were bidding farewell to the sons for their journey to the heavenly abode.
Historians will write that the only Islamic nuclear power at that time had only official statements and slogans to feed the Kashmiris with. Rather than picturing the atrocities of the Indian soldiers, the media’s beat reporters were busy covering the success stories of Shahrukh Khan’s movie ‘Zero’. Historians will certainly be amazed to see that amidst the most selling stories of Ali Tareen’s entry into PSL, modern fashion weeks, Norwegian girl’s dance performance, the political upheavals and the tickers of judicial activism, the sobbing moans of the Kashmiris lost the prime time slots. In short, one has to carry one’s weight and Kashmiris are used to doing so. In fact, their unwavering faith and staunch belief in their freedom has blessed them with unflinching hope. With this hope when a mother kisses the forehead of her young son for the last time and vows for the unending relation with Pakistan, the arrogant and wicked politics of Delhi shatters.
Delhi should realise that the Kashmir Freedom Movement has entered a new phase wherein the middle class — untrained, illiterate youngsters — is no longer a part of it. What makes this movement more energetic is the inclusion of the current intelligentsia that is well equipped with the proper awareness of the latest and updated needs to make any movement a success. India should realise that Burhan Wani’s martyrdom has paved the way for the addition of a number of fresh graduates from different universities who are determined to destroy every bit of foreign intrusion from their lands. According to the credible sources Dr Ijaz uddin Khan (PhD in Arabic), Sabzar Ahmed Sufi (MSc in Botany, M.Phil NED), Abdul Mannan Wani (PhD in Geology), Javed Malik (M.Tech), Maseeh Ullah Khan (M.Tech), Naeem Ahmed Mir (B.Tech), Altaf Malik (M.Tech), Jan Muhammad (M.Tech), Muhammad Rafeeque (B.Tech), Talib Afzal Shah (MPed), Rafeeq Ahan Gar (M.Tech), Umer Ahsan (MSc Physics), Ashfaq Hussain Dar (MA English), Muhammad Younas (MA Sociology), Asif Mansoor (BE-Engineer), Raees Ahmad Dar (BE Engineer), Basit Rasool Dar (BE Engineer), Muzammil Malik (BE Engineer), Syed Awais (B.Tech) and Sajjad Yousaf (MA Islamiat) have joined the front flanks of this freedom movement. These people do not conform to Indian built notions of the ‘brain washed youth’ rather they are fully aware of the technical knowledge which is capable enough to demolish the Indian soldiers’ armament.
What makes this movement more energetic is the inclusion of the current intelligentsia that is well equipped with the proper awareness of the latest and updated needs to make any movement a success
Indeed this war is being fought by brave soldiers who are literate and also possess the power of faith in Allah. They believe in the Quran’s saying:
“Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. [They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right — only because they say, “Our Lord is Allah.” And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.” (Surah Hajj, 39-40)
Their jihad is in the name of the God and for their motherland, for the honour of their women and for the future of their generations. This war is for the aggrandisement of the holy Kalama e Tayyaba and this battle, sooner or later, will be won by the valiant Kashmiri mujahedeen who need no gun, tank or bomb to prove their valour. Every Pakistani pays tribute to the dauntless courage, splendid bravery of the Kashmiri freedom fighters and the ever green beautiful and alluring valley of Kashmir.
