The Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal has provided an electric wheelchair to a disabled man, Zahid, after a video went viral in which he was seen asking Leader of the Opposition Mian Shehbaz Sharif for assistance, who proceeded to avoid the pleas of the disabled man.

Chairman Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal and Pakistan Tehreek i Insaaf (PTI) leader Aon Abbas Buppi posted a video of him interacting with Zahid, in which he announced that an electric wheelchair had been given to Zahid from the Bait-ul-Mal.

“Allhamdullialh an electric wheelchair has been given to Zahid on behalf of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal” he said in his tweet.

“The other day a video had gone viral on social media in which Zahid had asked Shehbaz Sharif for a wheelchair, to which he had turned his ears and walked away” he went on to say.

In the video, Buppi can be seen talking to Zahid and personally helping him sit in the wheelchair.  The Bait-ul-Mal Chairman had been alerted to the issue by Dr Shahbaz Gill, the Chief Spokesman for the Chief Minister Punjab, who saw an appeal asking for Zahid on twitter.

After Zahid had received his wheelchair, Dr Gill criticised Shehbaz Sharif for ignoring the pleas of the disabled man.

“Everyone saw how the former Chief Minister who had been in control of the province for the past many years fled instead of helping Zahid from Okara. On the special request of Chief Minister Punjab, Chairman Bait-ul-Mal Aon Abbas Buppi arranged for an electric wheelchair for Zahid. Difference between current and previous rulers!” he said in a tweet.
