— FM praises foreign service diplomats, asserts other dpts wish for similar graduates

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday claimed that the foreign service is leading Pakistan through these economic challenges to ensure that “an environment of stability” is created.

Qureshi was addressing the graduating diplomats at the Foreign Services Academy (FSA) as he urged them to serve the nation by employing their capabilities as they will face many challenges during their professional lives.

“Pakistan has produced brilliant diplomats but we have still failed in the past sometimes. We have failed because we have sometimes not been able to persevere in the face of challenges,” he stressed.

Praising the foreign service diplomatic, Qureshi claimed that other public service departments also wish for graduates akin to those that exit the FSA.

He praised the foreign service and said that other departments want diplomats as capable as those churned out by the FSA. Qureshi told the diplomats he is proud of them and that he believes that the foreign service will keep on contributing to Pakistan’s prosperity, as it has done in the past.
