Three civilians injured in unprovoked Indian firing at LoC

RAWALPINDI: Three Pakistani civilians, including a woman, were injured as Indian army resorted to unprovoked firing in the Jandrot sector of Line of Control (LOC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISRP) reported.

According to the military’s media wing, the Indian forces deliberately targeted civil population. The injured were evacuated to hospital.

In a befitting response, Indian posts were targeted, the ISPR added.

On January 18, Pakistan army responded to unprovoked Indian firing in Khuiratta and Kotkhetera sectors along LoC targeting civil population.

Pakistani troops responded effectively targeting Indian posts. Three Indian soldiers were killed and two injured besides damage to Indian posts.

In an earlier press release, ISPR had stated a citizen had been injured and evacuated to a hospital after India had resorted to unprovoked and indiscriminate fire in the Khuiratta sector.
