Like other provinces of the country, a three-day National Immunisation Campaign against polio will start in Punjab from July 18 during which more than 16 million children up to five years of age will be administered polio drops.
In this connection, the Punjab Health Department issued necessary instructions to executive district officers (EDO) health of all districts and they have been directed to ensure strict monitoring of the campaign to eradicate the disease from the country. The EDOs have been directed to make the polio campaign a success by taking personal interest and working hard to maintain the present polio-free status of Punjab.
