Military aid to Pakistan likely to be restored soon

US and Pakistani spy chiefs made progress in mending rifts when during the meetings, the US vowed to restore military aid to Pakistan soon. A private TV channel quoting its sources said the $800 million in aid due to be given to Pakistan has now been divided into two parts, with $300 million in terms of logistics to be released immediately, and $500 million for training and weapons to be provided soon.
ISI chief General Shuja Pasha made a brief visit to Washington, arriving on Wednesday and leaving on Thursday, to meet with Acting CIA Director Michael Morell and other intelligence officials. Both sides sought to renew ties of cooperation and move forward in an often challenging relationship.
