Opposition’s narrative exposed badly: Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has said the nefarious narrative of the opposition parties has been badly exposed, as they have no programme for the masses.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the chief minister said that corruption is the hallmark of the opposition leaders and asserted that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is disappointed because of lack of public interest.

He said, “The opposition parties have side-lined the national interest to achieve their temporal political objectives. The looters cannot hoodwink the masses.”

Buzdar added that the opposition parties’ political stance is wholly undemocratic and the PDM is bent upon obstructing the development process. He stressed that politics of chaos is totally unwise and against the national interest.

“It is deplorable that the opposition parties are trying to achieve a personal agenda by spreading anarchy in the country. The threat of resignations and long march is nothing more than a political stunt. On the other side, the people want the country to move forward,” Buzdar said.

Meanwhile, senior doctors of Mayo Hospital declared the health of the chief minister as satisfactory after a detailed check-up at the hospital. In this regard, the CM said that his health condition is improving. He thanked the people for their prayers and appealed them to strictly follow the government’s SOPs to save their lives, as the second wave of coronavirus is critical.
