ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy on Wednesday conducted a successful demonstration of missiles’ firing from surface to air.
According to a press statement, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Mohammad Amjad Khan Niazi observed the demonstration of missiles’ firing from surface to air.
Speaking on the occasion, the CNS said that the excellent demonstration of missiles’ firing speaks of Pakistan Navy’s operational capabilities and war preparations. He expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Amjad said that the Pakistan Navy is fully capable of giving a befitting response to any aggression. He said the officers and officials of Pakistan Navy are ever ready to defend maritime boundaries of the country and the naval installations.
Earlier on December 24, the CNS had chaired the Command and Staff Conference (CSC) of Pakistan Navy and expressed confidence over combat readiness of the force.
The conference at Naval Headquarters had reviewed matters related to geostrategic issues, national security, operational preparedness, training and welfare of troops. In the conference, the CNS was briefed on various ongoing and future development projects of the Pakistan Navy.
The CNS had emphasised on strengthening maritime security and effectively responding to any aggression against the country. He had also lauded initiatives taken towards capability development through acquisition of emerging technologies. The forum had also discussed the Covid-19 situation and reaffirmed the implementation of government policies to restrict the spread of the pandemic.
