Passenger beats BRT’s security guard

PESHAWAR: After being asked to wear a face mask, a young man beat up a security guard at a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station in Peshawar. According to the BRT spokesperson, the security guard, posted at the entrance of the BRT station, asked the youngster to adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines by wearing a face mask. But the youngster got furious and started beating up the guard. The footage showed the youth getting into a fistfight with the guard after a heated exchange. Then, an unidentified man jump in to pound the youngster with his fists. The spokesperson further said that it has been made mandatory for all commuters travelling through BRT buses to wear a face mask as per the government’s SOPs to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
