ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Lt Gen (r) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Sunday took note of “attempts to subvert China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) by lies and propaganda stories.”
In a tweet, the SAPM who is also chairman CPEC Authority appealed to the general public to ignore all fake news and stories regarding jobs, projects and individuals.
He said that attempts to subvert CPEC project by lies and propaganda stories about various aspects and individuals have recently been noticed. He said that all the advertisements regarding jobs will be posted on the official website http://cpecauthority.gov.pk/ and official accounts.
Earlier on August 15, Lt Gen (r) Bajwa had announced an internship programme for youth. “In the spirit of Youth empowerment/to develop young leaders, we announce to offer an opportunity to you to join #CPEC specific internship for 3 months-brochure for the first internship of the series attached, all eligible Pakistanis can apply,” he had tweeted.
