ISLAMABAD: Five persons including two officers at the Foreign Office tested positive for the coronavirus last week, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said on Sunday.
According to Farooqui, three staff members were also among the affected.
The spokesperson further said that all those who tested positive have been quarantined and relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been implemented in the offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to contain the spread of the infectious disease.
Pakistan’s coronavirus toll crossed the 100,000 mark on Sunday amid 2,002 reported deaths. Some 33,000 people have so far recovered completely from the disease.
