The corona virus has reached almost 199 countries of the world and it is considered the most dangerous virus of twenty first century. Similarly, the Spanish Flu of 1918 was most dangerous pandemic of twenty century that almost infected a third of world’s population and killed 50 millions people more than that of collectively killed in the first world war. The virus was hardest on young and adults between the ages of 20 and 30 who had previously been healthy.
Scientists offer several possible explanation for the high mortality rate of the 1918 influenza pandemic. Some analyses have shown the virus to be particularly deadly because it triggers a cytokine storm, which revage strong immune system of young adults. However, the corona epidemic is easily infected and killed the very old, whose immunity system is weak. Therefore, the world community should careful amid the corona virus outbreak and learn lesson from history.
