LAHORE: President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed grief at the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding member Ashiq Qureshi.
The prime minister took to twitter to express his sorrow over the death of his old friend and party worker.
Devastated by the death of one of my oldest friends Ashiq Qureshi last night. He was always there during my many setbacks in life. Was the first to stand by me when I decided to build SKMT & was a PTI founder member. Above all, he will be missed as a gentleman & great human being

Ashiq Qureshi was the son of former Punjab Governor Sadiq Hussain Qureshi and was also one of the earliest financiers of the Shaukat Khanam Memorial Hospital.
He died on early Friday morning after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Lower Mall Road, Lahore.
