Fazlur Rehman’s protest will puncture soon, says Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said while talking to media on Tuesday that the balloon of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s Azadi March will be punctured soon.

He further said that despite being told that this is not the right time to protest, Maulana is still doing it just for his own political gain.

“This march has nothing to do with Kashmir issue. Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) is only interested in their politics. If JUI-F still insists to hold the march, the law will come into action before they spread anarchy in the country,” he said.

“The people can not be left at the mercy of armed bands,” he further said.

Railway minister said that he is in contact with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif and they are good friends.

Earlier, Shaikh Rasheed said, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad, that the decision regarding Fazl’s march seems unclear and face-saving can be offered to the JUI-F chief.
