Over 424 dengue cases reported in city

LAHORE: Over 424 confirmed dengue cases were reported from hospitals in the provincial capital.

A spokesman for the health department revealed that 10 new dengue cases were reported from all hospitals in Punjab during the last 24 hours.

“We are working to overcome the situation on an emergency basis,” he said and added that a special cell set up by the Punjab chief minister (CM) was working round the clock to deal with the situation.

Further, dengue isolation wards have been set up in all hospitals, whereas anti-dengue teams have been formed to eliminate dengue larva.

Meanwhile, DC Lahore Asghar Joyia visited Tehsil Headquarters Raiwind to review anti-dengue arrangements as well.
