DADU: A teenage girl died after receiving a wrong injection at Civil Hospital Dadu on Sunday.

Syeda Shamshad, 14, daughter of Syed Arbab Shah, a resident of village Amir Pir near Dadu city, was admitted to the Emergency Ward of the Civil Hospital Dadu due to headache. “A doctor, Asif Malkani, gave her an injection with a drip which caused her health to deteriorate and led to her death,” alleged Hussain Shah, a relative of the victim girl.

The incident caused a clash between the relatives and the hospital administration after the accused doctor, Asif was slapped by one of the girl’s relatives.

Police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. No case has yet been filed.

The hospital administration has however assured the affected family of conducting a partial inquiry into the incident and said that action would be taken against those found guilty.
