LAYYAH: Six labourers died while 15 others were injured when a Toyota Hiace overturned here on Friday.
According to details, a Toyota Hiace carrying 23 labourers to Kot Sultan Nashaib for the cultivation of potato crop, got out of control due to speeding and turned turtle after hitting a building constructed at roadside at Jaisal Road near Makhni More in Chak No 164-TDA, Kot Sultan Layyah.
Five labourers died on the spot while 16 others were seriously injured in the accident.
The Rescue 1122 teams rushed towards the scene and started rescue activities. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Layyah where another succumbed to his wounds taking death toll to six which condition of some more wounded labourers was stated to be critical.
