Shehbaz says Nawaz not taking his advice

Hours after Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif allegedly bailed over his scheduled meeting with party supremo Nawaz Sharif citing backache, a private media outlet claimed that Shehbaz on Wednesday criticised his elder brother for ignoring his advice.

Reportedly, during the Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting on Wednesday, Shehbaz, while responding to the criticism of the party leaders, said that clashing with the establishment has always harmed the party.

“I told Nawaz during his last tenure to stop fighting with the establishment and serve the people,” the report quoted him as saying.

Reportedly, Shehbaz also said that at the time of General (r) Jahangir Karamat and General (r) Pervez Musharraf, both former army chiefs, he had advised his brother against removing them but he had ignored his advice.

Speaking about the upcoming Azadi March of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Shehbaz reportedly said that he did not want to lead the party in the march and was nominating former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal to do it.
