LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader Ahsan Iqbal censured Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday and said that it was unprecedented that a leader of a country goes “abroad and calls his own country corrupt”.
Talking to media representatives in Lahore, he further said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial ministers are making provocative statements against opposition parties and that is condemnable.
“People have started losing hope by seeing everything around them in crisis. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has only one agenda and that is to seek revenge from PML-N. Reference has not been filed against anyone including former premiers, Nawaz Sharif and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi,” he said.
“The only thing that worries PM Imran is putting opposition leaders in the jail. He visited the US and talked about the internal issues of Pakistan, about which, anyone in the presence was least interested”, he added.
There are dozens of countries in the world which are more corrupt than Pakistan, he said.
” PM’s mind works in a strange way. He attends an international event and spends all the time on stage calling his own country corrupt. He is either not familiar with more important issues at hand or deliberately chooses to ignore them,” Ahsan concluded.
