DADU: The polling for by-election at Dadu’s PS-86 constituency will be held on November 7, a scheduled released by Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) said on Wednesday.
According to the schedule, the nomination papers of candidates for the election will be received from Wednesday (today) till Oct 4.
The final list of candidates will be released on Oct 4, while scrutiny of the nomination papers will be completed by Oct 8.
The candidates could challenge the final decision of the returning officer by Oct 11, while the appeals of candidates will be heard till Oct 15 and a revised list of the candidates will be issued the following day.
The last date to withdraw nominations papers is Oct 17, while election symbols will be allotted on Oct 18.
PS-86 (Dadu-IV) in Juhi town of Dadu was vacated following the sudden death of Ghulam Shah Jilani of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), who had won the constituency in 2018 General Elections.
Jilani passed away on Sept 13 at a local hospital in Karachi after a prolonged illness.
