KARACHI: At least 137 more dengue fever cases emerged in Karachi in a day, taking the reported cases toll to 2,775 since 1st January 2019.
According to the daily report issued by Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, as many as 145 new dengue fever cases were detected throughout the Sindh province in a day, out of them 137 were reported in Karachi and eight in other districts.
In September, a total of 1,402 dengue positive cases were detected across the province out of which 1,342 happened in Karachi and 60 in other districts.
In 2019, a total of 2,904 dengue cases have been reported in Sindh province so far out of them, 2,775 were in Karachi and 129 in other districts.
A total of 11 people have been died from dengue fever in Karachi this year so far.
