LAHORE: The Punjab bureaucracy underwent major reorganisation on Friday as new appointments were made at top levels.
Punjab Secretary Industries and Trade Tahir Khursheed was appointed Secretary Communications. Punjab Communication and Works Department Secretary Shehryar Sultan was made OSD (Officer on Special Duty) reportedly because of poor performance. Zafar Iqbal was posted Secretary Industries while Secretary School Education Capt (r) Muhammad Mahmood was given the additional charge of forest secretary.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sardar Saifullah Dogar was transferred to Rawalpindi, while DC Rawalpindi Mohammad Randhawa has been made OSD.
