KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Ghulam Shah Jilani passed away at a hospital in Karachi after brief ailment, family sources confirmed on Friday.
Jilani, 62, had been under treatment at a local hospital for some time now, his family members informed.
The funeral was offered after Friday prayer in his native village Naing Sharif near Sehwan Sharif in Sindh.
Jilani was elected as a member of the provincial assembly from PS-86 (Dadu-IV).
Earlier, he had been the member of the standing committees on food, higher, technical education and research, school education and special education, and the standing committee on planning, development and special initiatives.
Jilani had been elected MPA three times on PPP’s ticket.
